B.Sc. Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology (B.M.R.I.T)
B.Sc. Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology is a 3-year long degree level course. At present Radiography is one of the most popular modern medical technologies available. This technology is used to diagnose various diseases and disorder in a human body.
This course will give students insights of how the radiology and imaging technology is used for the diagnosis of various diseases and disorder in the human body.
In this students will learn how to radiology technician produce clear and accurate images of the body that enables physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions that would otherwise be difficult to document. Technician operate sophisticated equipment's and technology that includes X-ray, mammography (PET) scan Devices to see within the human body in order to diagnose, treating or monitoring disease or injury. By guiding patients through each step of their medical imaging procedures, these specialists ensure the production of high-quality images.
There are plenty of job opportunities for those who have studied this course. Interested candidates can also go for higher studies in the related field.

The Course is affiliated to Uttarakhand Paramedical Counsil.
Total Number Of Seats
Thirty (30) seats annually.
Medium Of Instruction
The medium of instruction will be English.
Eligibility Criteria For Admission To The Course
Should have passed 10+2 Examination with Science (PCB)/(PCM) and English Core / English Elective from recognized board under CBSE / ICSE or other equivalent board.
Student's must have studied science subjects with biology in their +2 as to be an eligible candidate. The students who have a certificate in Diploma in Medical Radiography or even its equivalent are also considered eligible for the Bachelor of Radiology & Imaging Technology course.
Should have completed the minimum age of 17 years on or before the 31st December 2017 and not exceeding the maximum age of 35 years as on 31st December 2017
Candidates found guilty of misconduct or convicted of any offense shall not be eligible for admission.
Candidates should be medically fit.
Commencement Of The Course
The course will commence with effect from September/October 2017 for the current academic year.
The course will be completely residential in nature and hostel accommodation will be compulsory for all the candidates admitted to the course.
All the selected candidates will have to deposit full fee on the day of counseling and be deposited in 2 installments.
Failure to deposit the fee on the day of counseling will lead to cancellation of admission and the seat will be offered to the next candidate.
Cheques, Cash and Bank Drafts are drawn in favor of Doon Institute of Medical Sciences payable at Union Bank of India, Sahaspur, Dehradun will be accepted.
All charges are subject to revision by Uttarakhand Government from time to time during the period of course.
Student Will have to pay for The Uniform and Books separately.
Mess charges will be extra and as per actual (Co-operative mess run by Mess Committee).
