G.N.M. course comprises the study Fundamentals of Nursing, Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Psychology, Sociology, computer, English, Research & statistics, Medical and Surgical Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Maternity Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Midwifery.
Duration of the Course
Three years including six months Internship Programme.
The Course is affiliated to Uttarakhand Nurses and Midwifery Council.
Total Number Of Seats
Forty (40) seats annually.
Medium Of Instruction
The medium of instruction will be English.
The Curriculum and the Syllabus for the course shall be as prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council.
Eligibility Criteria For Admission To The Course
Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years on 31.12.2017. There is no age bar for ANM / LHV.
10+2 class passed preferably Science(PCB) & English with an aggregate of 50% marks and up to matric.
10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Healthcare Science – Vocational Stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under PSEB/CBSE/ICSE or other equivalent Board with 50% marks.
10+2 with English in vocational ANM Course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 50% marks.
Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
Candidate should be medically fit. He/She should get a medical fitness certificate from a Govt. Medical Officer registered with the Uttarakhand Medical Council and attach it with the application form.
3% disability reservation shall be considered with a disability of locomotors to the tune of 40% of the lower extremity and 40% of the upper extremity.
Commencement Of The Course
The course will commence with effect from September/October 2017 for the current academic year.
The course will be completely residential in nature and hostel accommodation will be compulsory for all the candidates admitted to the course according to the norms of INC.
Candidates should have a disability certificate from the Medical Board. Whether the candidates have the disability of locomotor of 40% to 50%.
All the selected candidates will have to deposit full fee on the day of counseling and be deposited in 2 installments.
Failure to deposit the fee on the day of counseling will lead to cancellation of admission and the seat will be offered to the next candidate.
Cheques, Cash and Bank Drafts are drawn in favor of Doon Institute of Medical Sciences payable at Union Bank of India, Sahaspur, Dehradun will be accepted.
All charges are subject to revision by Uttarakhand Government from time to time during the period of course.
Student Will have to pay for The Uniform and Books separately.
Mess charges will be extra and as per actual (Co-operative mess run by Mess Committee).
