Eligibility criteria for BAMS Admission

To pursue the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course at Dehradun Institute of Medical Sciences (DIMS), candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed any examination equivalent to the Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) or (10+2) from a recognized Board/University after completing 12 years of study.

Minimum Percentage: Applicants from the general category must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (P.C.B.) in the qualifying examination. Similarly, candidates from reserved categories must obtain a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in P.C.B.

Age Criteria: Candidates should have completed a minimum of 18 years of age on or before December 31, 2019, and should not exceed the maximum age limit of 35 years as on December 31, 2019.

Curriculum

The curriculum of the BAMS course is meticulously designed to cover theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Students study subjects such as Ayurvedic philosophy, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pathology, and Panchakarma therapy.
