B.Sc. Nursing
About the Course
B.Sc. Nursing is a four-year undergraduate program that provides students with theoretical knowledge, clinical training, and research exposure in nursing and healthcare. The program prepares nurses and midwives for generalist nursing including midwifery practice.
Mastery of competencies is the main focus. Students are provided with opportunities to learn a whole range of skills in addition to acquiring knowledge related to nursing practice. This is achieved through learning in skill lab/simulated lab and clinical environment. Simulation will be integrated throughout the curriculum wherever feasible to enable them to develop competencies before entry into the real field of practice.
Curriculum
The B.Sc. Nursing program is a four-year program comprising eight semesters that is credit and semester-based. It is choice-based only for elective courses. Competency-based curriculum is the main approach that is based on ten core competencies. The courses are categorized into foundational courses, core courses, and elective courses.
